VIETNAMESE ENGLISH TEACHERS (English Teaching/Education, BA minimum, MA preferred, High rate salary)

NATIVE ENGLISH TEACHERS (College Level or over, from USA, Australia, UK, Canada, New Zealand, or any English Speaking Countries Preferred)

Angiang International is currently looking for teachers of English who can offer teaching English to Vietnamese young and adult learners. Flexible working arrangements and good rates paid depending on the courses taught and qualifications. Teaching materials are provided. 

Courses to offer

Young Learners English, Academic (General) English, Aural-Oral Skills English, Exam Preparatory courses: STARTERS, MOVERS, FLYERS, KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, VN VSTEP National A1-C2 Levels Certificates...

Qualifications

* Vietnamese teachers:

- Qualified Teacher Status and BA degree majoring in Education of TEFL (MA in TEFL is preferred) , English Lingustics with TEFL Certificate.

* Native English-Speaking Teachers:

- From US, UK, Australia, Canada, New-Zealand, or from any English-Speaking countries, with TESOL Certificate or equivalence. At least college level or BA Degree is required.

Job description

Typical work activities

Teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) or Teaching English to Speakers of Others Languages (TESOL)  is about conveying information to students in an interesting way and communicating a love and passion for the English language. Besides the textbooks used at the AGCFL, teachers can use a wide range of course books, other materials and a variety of audio-visual aids. There is a strong emphasis on dialogue and role-playing, but more formal exercises, language games and literature can also be used.

Students at Angiang International learn English for a variety of reasons: to improve their conversational English; to prepare for national VSTEP examinations (Levels A1 to C2), international examinations (STARTERS, MOVERS, FLYERS, KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, TOEIC, IELTS); to gain entry to an English-speaking college or university (TOEFL, IELTS); or to use English in their work (TOEIC), so the content of lessons varies. The level of the students' ability may also vary, depending on the setting where the classes take place and what ages the students are. The aim of each lesson is to encourage the students to communicate with each other using the structures and vocabulary they have learnt, and to improve the four basic language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Typical work activities include:

Teaching English;

Classroom management; 

Planning, preparing and delivering lessons to a range of classes and age groups;

Preparing and setting tests, examination papers, and exercises; 

Marking and providing appropriate feedback on oral and written work;

Devising, writing and producing new materials, including audio and visual resources;

Basic administration such as keeping student registers and attendance records for starters and leavers.

Requirements

A good command of English, both spoken and written, clear diction, and interest in the language, a lively and outgoing personality and a friendly and confident manner;

Good planning skills and organizing skills;

The ability to work under pressure;

Flexibility and an adaptable teaching style;

Creative skills and ideas for planning practical and interesting lessons;

Good spoken and written communication skills;

The ability to take criticism 

The ability to get on with a wide range of people of varying ages;

Patience and a good sense of humor;

Good at operating computer network, social networking, Microsoft Office applications, esp. PowerPoint design (A MUST) , Outlook, Word …
